Campware Suite Training for West African Media professionals successful at IDLELO 4

The course was one of the pre-conference training sessions organised for the fourth edition of Idlelo, the African conference on FOSS and the Digital Commons organised every two years by FOSSFA.
Free and Open Source Software Days in West African Universities
Sun, 2010-05-16 18:14 | by adminFOSSFA, in the framework of FOSSWAY project, has been organising a series of one day events in West African Universities in order to raise awareness about Free and Open Source Software and its advantages in education.
The aims of these events are to promote FOSS among West African students, provide them with opportunities to explore the world of FOSS and discover how FOSS can help them in their studies and daily productivity.
The beneficiaries of these events are those students that are not informed of the
open source option.

Researchers met in Dakar to discuss methodology for FOSS study
Wed, 2010-03-03 22:37 | by fosswayMain contractor of the research study sponsored by OSIWA, and aimed to analyze and scrutinize the first draft of the inception report of the research study.
The researchers gathered in Dakar from Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire to discuss and choose the methodology and the research framework to use for the study.
The research study was launched last June to provide the appropriate input and researched information to FOSSWAY advocacy work.
